Ode to my Guitar

Graceful lady of pronounced curves

Svelte waist sensual oval shaped mouth

Golden curly hair adorn your inclined head

Slender neck fretted with musical scales.

In my hands, I take you so delicately

And place in my lap leaning on my chest

Renewing our perpetual intimate bows;

Lovers looking for each other desperately.

You want to sing with me tonight

Under the concave sky full of restless stars

So the wind takes away, blues and joys.

Caprichos, albazos, pasillos; singing the night away.

Nymph, a younger deity of the feminine mythology,

Summoned to the celebrations of the gods

In the Mount Olympus.

Naive celestine, of naked curved body,

Silky skin, lustrous coffer of the anthology

 Warm nest, where  love dreams and chants.

In you, the genius dwells and nourishes

Of the unknown arcane of your coffer

Compendium of harmonies.

From you, the necessary finery arises

Whereupon to adorn my lyrical songs;

What would become of me,

If one day, you were missing?,

My life would turn dismal and sedentary.

Amiga, confident in my young lads years,

When, of dreams I filled this soul of mine,

when, the filters of love, to know I believed.

I loved hastily and had many disappointments.

! Boy oh Boy !  you know of love only by name,

You shall know what true love is

When you grow up and get to be a MAN.

Whispering to my ear, my guitar said to me.
